Freestyle seat modification for the 2003-04 Kawasaki 636.
The 0304 Kawasaki 636 is known as a staple of the stunt community. A favorite for many riders since it was first available in 2003.
The two versions of rear seat we offer for the 0304 were designed and shaped on a real motorcycle in our shop. We paid attention to the lines of the bike, and our final result complements the stock design well, while also provided complete function for all aspects of freestyle motorcycle riding. We always focus on both form and function in all our designs.
The face of the rear set has been changed in profile from the dome-like shape of the stock foam. By squaring the shape some the surface area available for both seat stander and sitdown positions increases greatly. The actual height at the peak height of the face remains true to the height of the original seat. The foot hole provides plenty of room and confidence for virtually all shoe sizes.
For the no face extension version, the rear seat face ends at the front edge of the stock seat pan. This is the most popular and recommended option. The 0304 636 has a tight cockpit already, relative to other models, and most riders prefer the no face extension version for this reason.
For our +1 Inch face extension version, the seat face extends towards the front seat of the bike by approximately 1 inch. This is just enough to close the gap between front and rear seats. Some customers like this option to close the gap on bike without a rear fairing, but works just as well with the fairings mounted. Other customers who are very short may like this option if they have trouble reaching the handlebars during sitdowns. Others may like this option simply because they like a tight cockpit, this option will make the cockpit feel tight.

So WHAT are you buying?
For REAR SEAT ONLY options, you WILL NEED to send in your OEM seat pan as a foundation for the seat build. We then begin the conversion process, starting from that base, when it arrives in our shop.
All REAR Freestyle seats receive 100% brand NEW one piece foam formed within a mold. This process allows exacting consistency from one seat to the next, while also providing an extremely dense and resilient foam.
The final foam product is in a whole other class of quality. It is far superior to typical custom seat methods, that involve leaving a layer of your old worn foam and topped with a few new layers then shaped by hand.
For add FRONT SEAT ONLY option, you are selecting to have your front seat wrapped with material that matches your new rear seat. This service is for the front seat COVER ONLY, and does NOT include any modification or repairs to the original foam. For this reason, it is important that the seat you send to be reupholstered be in very good condition, without damage to the foam.
WE WILL NOT REPAIR ANY FRONT SEAT FOAM WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES. It will almost always be cheaper for you to purchase a good OEM front seat to start with, rather than incur additional charges. Foam is expensive and the work to repair is time consuming. (In the future we will offer complete new front foam)
