Freestyle seat modification for the 2015-17 Yamaha FZ07.
Our options for the FZ07 currently includes two versions, No Face Extension and +2 inch Face Extension. Both these versions share the same profile for the rear of the seat, and both also include a wider face for increased surface area.
The No Face Extension version ends at the front edge of the stock rear seat pan.
The +2 Inch Face Extension version extends approximately 2 inches forward from the front edge of the rear seat pan and slightly overlaps the front seat. This option provides a tighter cockpit. It is preferred by riders who like to stay locked in place during sitdowns or riders who may be shorter than average in height. Taller riders may not like this option during seat standers.
If you are comparing seats from the next generation motorcycle, the Yamaha FZ07, to the MT07 they are not the same. The rear seat of the MT07 was changed on both profile and length. The MT07 is longer by design and reaches closer to the front drivers seat. This makes the +1inch Face Extension on the MT07 similar in length to the +2 Inch version for the FZ07.

So WHAT are you buying?
For REAR SEAT ONLY options, you WILL NEED to send in your OEM seat pan as a foundation for the seat build. We then begin the conversion process, starting from that base, when it arrives in our shop.
All REAR Freestyle seats receive 100% brand NEW one piece foam formed within a mold. This process allows exacting consistency from one seat to the next, while also providing an extremely dense and resilient foam.
The final foam product is in a whole other class of quality. It is far superior to typical custom seat methods, that involve leaving a layer of your old worn foam and topped with a few new layers then shaped by hand.
For add FRONT SEAT ONLY option, you are selecting to have your front seat wrapped with material that matches your new rear seat. This service is for the front seat COVER ONLY, and does NOT include any modification or repairs to the original foam. For this reason, it is important that the seat you send to be reupholstered be in very good condition, without damage to the foam.
WE WILL NOT REPAIR ANY FRONT SEAT FOAM WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES. It will almost always be cheaper for you to purchase a good OEM front seat to start with, rather than incur additional charges. Foam is expensive and the work to repair is time consuming. (In the future we will offer complete new front foam)
