Freestyle seat modification for the 2019+ Kawasaki 636.

The latest model year of the Kawasaki 636, and the centerpiece of some beautiful new builds hitting the scene. We currently offer 3 versions of rear seat for the 2019-present 636. All were results of customer requests and feedback. All three options share the same rear profile of the seat. As with all our seat models, the height of the seat was designed for proper function, as well as to compliment the looks of the bike without excess bulk.

**Pro Tip: Face extension versions require you to either modify, or swap, the seat release cables. This is so that the rear seat is removed from the bike first, then front seat comes off second**

To begin our description we will start with the +2 Inch face extension version. This option extends approximately 2 inches, from the front edge of the stock seat pan, towards the front seat. This is preferred mostly by shorter riders, also by Lot riders, as well as those who simply prefer a tighter cockpit and to be held forward during sitdowns. The aggressive angle and length of the +2 Inch version will most likely be uncomfortable, for riders who are tall, during seat standers.

Next version we have is the +1 Inch face extension. This option was designed for those that would like some face extension, but with less aggressive face angle and a little more room to move. This version extends forward approximately 1 inch. And, just meets the front seat, closing the gap between the seats. Again, this option would be preferred mostly by shorter riders, but average height riders that like a tighter cockpit may enjoy this option as well.

Now onto the No face extension version. This option has received excellent feedback. This version most importantly retains the wider, seat stander friendly, face that both face extension versions have. However, it is cut back all the way to the front edge of the stock seat pan. This makes a far more user friendly face, than the stock seats very small surface area. The increased area not only feels better during seat standers and sitdowns, but also lends some added protection from your feet causing damage to the tail fairing.

So WHAT are you buying?

For REAR SEAT ONLY options, you WILL NEED to send in your OEM seat pan as a foundation for the seat build. We then begin the conversion process, starting from that base, when it arrives in our shop.

All REAR Freestyle seats receive 100% brand NEW one piece foam formed within a mold. This process allows exacting consistency from one seat to the next, while also providing an extremely dense and resilient foam.

The final foam product is in a whole other class of quality. It is far superior to typical custom seat methods, that involve leaving a layer of your old worn foam and topped with a few new layers then shaped by hand.

For add FRONT SEAT ONLY option, you are selecting to have your front seat wrapped with material that matches your new rear seat. This service is for the front seat COVER ONLY, and does NOT include any modification or repairs to the original foam. For this reason, it is important that the seat you send to be reupholstered be in very good condition, without damage to the foam.

WE WILL NOT REPAIR ANY FRONT SEAT FOAM WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES. It will almost always be cheaper for you to purchase a good OEM front seat to start with, rather than incur additional charges. Foam is expensive and the work to repair is time consuming. (In the future we will offer complete new front foam)
